零食 Snacks!

在柬埔寨，我们遇到一些卖“零食”的小贩。五颜六色的零食？别傻啦！柬埔寨和泰国的零食是。。。。。。。。。。。。

昆虫！

我们三个都不敢去试吃。那时是行程的第三天，还有好长的路要走，我不想泻肚子。如果是在行程的尾声，我会胆粗粗跑去试。

那女孩微笑着，拿了一些“零食”，想给Eric 试吃。Eric 用害怕的眼神拒绝了她的好意。瞬間, 微笑消失了。。。“什么吗？好像我给毒药你吃那样！”。。。。。奇怪和讨厌的表情都呈现在她的脸上了。

旅人。。。。除了自己开心，也要让别人开心。学会拒绝。。。。微笑和感激地拒绝。

So, in Vietnam....we want to buy something.

When we enter the shop and start speaking our English words......she dont't understand. Hahaha.......draw lor.

Tuk Tuk car dirver

我们是通过Tourism Office租用 Tuk Tuk 车。老一点的车夫不比年轻车夫有精力和英语说得一级棒。政府可能为了帮助他们，在Tourism Office接到的生意都优先给他们。Tourism Office 的价钱公道，至少您可以安心点游玩，因为每名车都要向当局注册。除了租车，您也可以请导游同行。如果没有时间事先读吴哥历史，导游是不错的选择。至少旅程中有历史故事听，不会觉得闷或无聊（因为全部都是大石头）。

During my Angkor Wat trip, my friends and I rent a Tuk Tuk car from the Tourism Office. Tuk Tuk driver age range can be from 20+ to 60+ years old. Of course, young drivers have greater advantages because they can speak English very well and more energetic. Knowing the reason, any Tuk Tuk car renting received by Tourism Office, the old drivers will have the priority to get the business.

Beside Tuk Tuk car service, the authority also provides tour guide service. If not mistaken, Japanese or Korea speaking tour guide is more expensive…………because not many local know the language. Better to hire tour guide if you have not done some research on Angkor Wat history. Because you will be bored…………..like me -> “Huh? Not a building again? All is rocks rocks rocks only…………..tired man.”

他就是我们的车夫啦！我不知道他的年龄，只觉得他比我爸爸还老。他只会用简单的英文跟我们沟通，语气很温柔。我坐在车内，看着他的背影，感觉好像老爷爷载着我们，三个贪玩的孙儿。

当天下起了小雨，他用防水布盖着Tuk Tuk车， 避免雨水把我们弄湿。过后，我以为他会穿起雨衣。。。。。。。。。但是他没有。可能没钱买雨衣吧？当时，我心如刀割。强壮的年轻人应该照顾老人家，对吗？可是。。。。。老爷爷现在淋着雨载着三个年轻人赚钱养家。

He is our driver. I do not know how old is he, I just feel that he is older than my papa or maybe…..same as my grandpa? He can talk softly to us in simple English only. On the middle of our tour, suddenly rain. He covered the car with plastic so that we will not get wet……………………then, I assume that he will wear a rain coat…………………….but after he finish covered us, he jz continue the trip……..WITHOUT rain coat!

I was sitting right behind him, watching all the tiny little rain drops on his back and……his shirt slowly become wet. My heart wants to cry at that moment…….. he is so poor until he has no money to buy rain coat and have to work under the rain although he is OLD already.

无良商人 unethical business man

在越南时，我们遇到了很多无良商人。因为我们是游客，语言不通，所以被砍得很惨。记得有一次，我们在 Nha Trang 骑脚踏车游街。那时候越南是夏季，天气好热哦。看到流动冰淇淋小贩，我们开心极了。在炎日的天气吃冰淇淋，感觉一定超棒！

我们三人，开开心心选冰淇淋。选好了，要快要付钱时，小强叫我们看一样东西。那个东西是。。。。。。订在贩卖车另一边的价钱表。哗！他算贵我们每人200- 300 越南币。小强比手画脚地指指价钱表，指指手上的冰淇淋，表示为什么不一样价钱？那名无良叔叔在那儿咕噜咕噜，拿出冰块，讲东讲西。。。。（然而我们一个字也不明白.最后。。。。。。。。。我们还是要付贵钱，因为冰淇淋已在我手上几分钟了。

Eric 死命咒骂那个人。“游客就是注定被人砍的”我说。“当然可以砍！我不知道价钱当然可以砍！我知道价钱后，他还把我们当傻子那样砍。”Eric说。“哈哈！不要紧，吞下那口气就没事了！”小强。

现在我才知道，吞下一口闷气是不容易的。。。。旅行，除了玩，也是在学习，学习面对人生百态！下次要问清楚，查清楚价钱才拿东西哦！

Vietnam is a nice place to visit........but we meet a lot unethical business man. We are tourists, we can't speak or listen Vietnam language, so we will end up cheated by them. There was once at Nha Trang, we had our bicycle ride around the small town. It was summer that time, how nice if we can have an ice cream?

We found a mobile ice cream seller and we choose our favourite ice cream happily. When we almost finish choosing and planning to pay, Weng Chiang asked us to see something. It was a sign board at the another side of the seller mobile stall. Wah!!!!!! he charged us extra 200 - 300 Vietnam Dong?

Weng Chiang doing all sort of 'sign language' point to the price and point back the ice cream he is holding. and..........................the bad seller even worse talk talk talk, bring out the ice, then talk talk talk again............(we dun understand a word la!). At the end, we still pay him the over-charged price bcos.......the ice creams alr in our hands for a few minutes alr.

Next time, ask and check for the price before you take anything. .............. Anyway, is FUN to c my friend angry and frustrated face :p. Backpack is full of excitement.......hahaha

雄鹰广场 (Eagle Square)

四年前我来到了这个传说小岛搞生活营。（其实我只是挂个名誉顾问，嘴巴说说，手指在指指点点罢了）。生活营结束后，一班工委用了半天时间游遍整个小岛的名胜地。当然是不可能啦！我只记得上巴士下巴士，上巴士下巴士，然后买巧克力。零零碎碎的记忆中，我记得有来过雄鹰广场啦（Dataran Lang）！

I went to Langkawi 4 year ago. The purpose to go there is to become senior camp helper. *Senior* means u jz need to say something (advice) and pointing your fingers (ordering). Hahaha! After the camp is over, all the committees have a *quick* half day tour around the island. I jz blur blur follow them touring the island.

四年后，我又在踏足这个小岛了。这次我想找回一个让我叹为观止的画面 -- 群鹰在天空上自由自在盘旋。每次看见一只老鹰在天空上盘旋，我已经好开心了。能看见群鹰在飞翔，我更加兴奋啦！

一只。。。。。两只。。。。。三只。。。。。。。没啦？

怎么那么少？我来错了时间吗？还是被捉了？还是他们移民了？还是。。。。。。。。。。

After 4 years, I come back to this beautiful island. I reach the Eagle Square (Dataran Lang) again to search for something. In my memory, I jz remember that I saw many eagles flying around on the sky of Eagle Square. This time, I wished that I can see them again…….but I only saw 2 or 3 eagles. Am I coming at the wrong time? Or the eagles have been captured? Or …………..

*我猜它们是移民了。。。。他们搬到Kilim等待游客喂了。 您可以参加喂鹰和游岛旅游团，价钱少过RM100, 值得去体验.

You can join eagle feeding tour which is less than RM100. The tour will start from morning until evening

Bird Paradise Wildlife Park

Another place that I like the most -> Bird PArk!!!!



Birds only ma.......so fun meh? ermm........for me is fun, cause I can get very very close to the animals. I LIKE ANIMALs ! At the ticketing counter, u can find a booth selling food to feed the animals. RM2 for 3 packets, got jagung (corn), carrot, cabbage, peanuts, cherry tomato, etc.........

Once I enter the park..............WOW! u can see many colourful parrots around without any fencing or cage!!! How near u can get close to them? C the photos below! I was so happy that I hope that I can go out again and buy more peanuts for them.









Really really happy to see and feed those birds with my hand. Wuahahahahah!!!

If u like animals, Bird Paradise is a place that u MUST visit. Maybe u can buy a big packet of dry peanuts (non-salted one) put inside ur bag. :p But remember to buy those seeds to feed small birds from the ticketing booth if u want to have some 'Snow White' experience (birdy standing on ur hands). hehe.





*P/S : I busy feeding those animals, no time to take plenty photos. wuahahaha

Bon Ton, Langkawi

Bon Ton 是个好特别的酒店。因为《旅游玩家》有介绍这家酒店，所以就胆粗粗跑进去看看。

在大路旁只看见小小的招牌“Bon Ton”, 看不见任何酒店建筑物. 穿过酒店走廊,眼前是一大片开满布袋莲的沼泽.



幸运的话,你还能看见四脚蛇在游泳呢!



杂志介绍着这里是其中一个看日落的景点. 酒店的环境也不错.





正当我在忙着拍照时,旅店老板跑前来打招呼. 我这是笑笑回应他,然后跟猫猫玩. 然后他无奈的叫我不要靠近客房,因为有旅客住. 其实我好像跟他聊一聊,只是我要赶时间回去槟城了.



这里有很多狗狗猫猫,它们都是酒店老板收留的. 酒店前有间动物医务所和领养所. <旅游玩家>还提到旅店一部分的经费都用来收养流浪猫狗的. 发展国家的旅游业再加上做慈善,一举两得!



Bon Ton的住宿蛮贵下的，但你可以到来和下午茶，欣赏日落。

Bon Ton is a boutique styled resort near Pantai Cenang. Actually resorts have security check point one, but this one dun have, so my bf and I went in to have a look look. hehe........

U can see a huge swamp area in front of the Bon Ton's restaurant. If u r lucky, u can see big lizard swimming in the swamp. Ah..............nature. I like it! Bon Ton is one of the best place to view sunset in Langkawi. U may not have to stay here, but u can have a drink and enjoy the sunset!

Before entering the resort, there are some small shops beside the roads. It is a vet clinic and pets adoption area. Bon Ton's boss is very kind hearted, the resort is a home sweet home for the stray cats and dogs in Langkawi. Part of the resort's income go to support all those poor animals. Ahhhhh..........I hope I can own such kind of resort oso, making money and doing charity in the same time. :)

Floral Fest 2007, Penang

上个星期日是槟城一年一度的花卉節。平时宁静的植物园突然变得好热闹。

I went to Penang Annual Floral Festival at Botanical Garden last Sunday. Well.......the festival starts from 27th May to 3rd June. So, here it is with a big sign board in front of Botanical Garden entrance.



这里有漂亮花儿的展览，也有好多花儿出售档口。这段期间，这里变成了植物种植家的购物天堂。 除了欣赏和购买花儿，主办当局也有呈现教育走廊和讲座会。

There are beautiful flowers exhibition, competitions and some education programs. Besides that, There is a gardening fair selling all kinds of flowers, fertilizer and gardening tools.



全国各地的花卉爱好家都带着他们心爱的花儿来参加比赛和交流心得。

Here are the pretty flowers competiting among themselves.



花中之后能骄傲地戴上奖牌。

The winners will have a medal hanging on them. :p (jz like human)



除了有漂亮花儿比赛和展览，也有插花艺术展览。这些应该是日本插花艺术吧！日本插花艺术比较喜欢利用天然的材料（有缺陷的叶子，树枝，花朵等等。）我怎么知道？因为我妈妈有学日本插花。 嘻嘻！西方式的插花艺术可以在高级餐厅或酒店看到。:)

They have a floral arrangement exhibition too. In the eye of an artist, something beautiful may not look beautiful for normal human. hahaha. As far as I know, These type of floral arrangement is Japanese style, bcos my mother got take up this king of floral arrangement classes. Then, what is western style? ermmmm.........u can find western style in most of the hotels (4 stars and above)



花儿花儿好美丽。。。。。。。我很想买一架专业相机，但是现在资金有限。看着那些专业人士拍照，真羡慕他们。

Now, showing off my photography skills. Don't compare with those professionals, I don't have a SLR camera. :( When looking at those SLR camera guys..........I'm so jealous :p
